Venus in Scorpio? Good Luck, Babe...
Venus is in Scorpio. No, you’re not okay.
Me? Thirty, flirty and thriving.
As someone who possesses a Scorpio Venus, I love watching everyone experience what happens inside of me on a daily basis. That brazen, all-or-nothing, high-stakes/high-reward energy has been everywhere lately. While I feel like this on a regular Tuesday, it has been fascinating to watch people in my life who are normally cautious and composed decide to go full throttle.
Today, we’re going to talk about what this means for me (naturally) and how this energy might feel for you depending on your own Venus sign.
So, before we dive in: how long will you all suffer?
I regret to inform you that this ride will last longer than you intended—and it will pull an Uno reverse before deciding to leave you alone. Venus passes through Scorpio twice during this cycle: first from September 10 through October 25, then again from December 4 through January 7. Venus stations retrograde on October 3, backs into Libra on October 25, and stations direct there on November 13 before eventually returning to Scorpio in December.
(Check on me…)
While we celebrate our solar returns each year, your Venus return occurs roughly once a year as well and can be an interesting time to reflect on relationships, attraction, wealth, pleasure and beauty. If you are like me and want to find any reason to celebrate yourself, consider adding a small ritual for your Venus return each year. For me, it is the time of year when I become more focused on my personal style and relationship with fitness and feel most eager to take on a new project or endeavor.
While I am always in the mood to find a silver lining, I cannot pretend this energy does not possess a darker shadow. There is a rawness here that can feel obsessive and controlling, dark and brooding, sullen and self-deprecating. As someone who is air-dominant and accustomed to freedom, I am aware of how suffocating this energy can feel.
However, I invite you not to shy away from it.
The beautiful thing about Scorpio energy is that it is not afraid of your ugly parts. The things you normally conceal are brought to the surface for deeper inspection.
Lean into that.
Okay, so what does this mean for your Venus sign?
Scorpio Venus
The star of our show. Miss Mamas, please report to the front.
While you are at home in this energy, do not ignore that feeling telling you to go scorched earth. Your darkness can be a superpower these next few weeks—but only if you remain in control of it. Pretending to be too cool will leave you embarrassed. You have a lot of fixations, my dear; put them to use. Transform your wardrobe. Write something compelling and a little risqué. Text that person and reveal how much you want it.
Stop being mysterious.
Tips: Ask for what you need. Stop stalking them (frfr).
Songs: “Nights Like This” by Kehlani; “Dark Red” by Steve Lacy
Sagittarius Venus
Hi, love! I know you are going to be itching to remove yourself from this heaviness, but your natural skills will serve you well. Take the trip, listen to a lecture, maybe take a pottery class. Keep your mind and hands busy—it will keep you from fleeing emotionally.
Sit with yourself long enough to unpack whether you are actually unhappy or simply uncomfortable with the depth of your own emotions.
Tips: Take a dance class. Do not block them (frfr).
Songs: “Good Days” by SZA; “Motion Sickness” by Phoebe Bridgers
Capricorn Venus
You do not have to earn pleasure. It is simply deserved.
No, not after you meet the deadline. Not after you have a certain amount saved. Today! Book the massage. Allow yourself to indulge in whatever you have been telling yourself has to wait. Let someone do something intimate for you without immediately thinking about what you have to give them in return.
Allow yourself to be cared for.
Tips: Sleep late. Have four drinks (frfr).
Songs: “Haunted” by Beyoncé; “Love Me Not” by Ravyn Lenae
Aquarius Venus
Be present in your body.
You think so much; this is permission to simply feel it.
Do something with a tangible payoff, something that gives you a body high. Go dancing all night. Touch toes with your bestie. Go to that restaurant that has lived in your TikTok saves for six months. Experience life and your feelings as they come without needing either to become a groundbreaking social experiment.
Tips: Social media detox. Do that strange thing you refuse to tell anyone about (frfr).
Songs: “Pink + White” by Frank Ocean; “Come Over” by The Internet
Pisces Venus
My dreamers! Your ability to sift through duality will help you here. Separate what you feel from what is actually being shown to you. Scorpio can make a complicated connection feel profound, and your imagination is talented enough to fill in whatever the other person leaves blank.
Ground yourself through your art. Consume new forms of media. See a band perform that you normally wouldn’t.
Tips: Go for a night swim. Buy a new perfume (frfr).
Songs: “safety net” by Ariana Grande; “What Kind of Man” by Florence + the Machine
Aries Venus
I know it’s hard being this restless.
You are not at home in this energy, but that does not mean you walk away empty-handed. Being measured is not a crime; in fact, it may help you grab exactly what you want. This season may feel infuriating because you have the itch for a major upheaval without the clarity needed to execute it.
Continue moving forward without demanding an immediate answer.
Tips: Move your body. Delay gratification (frfr).
Songs: “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure; “Can I” by Kehlani
Taurus Venus
Become a little undone.
Moisturize. Clean your space. Change the sheets. Make your home even more comfortable—and then call them over. Allow yourself room to be a tad more possessive than you usually are, while remembering that wanting reassurance and trying to control an outcome are two very different things.
It is not needy to say, clearly, "I want you here tonight."
Tips: Buy a candle. Cook for your favorite person (frfr).
Songs: “Thinkin Bout You” by Frank Ocean; “Somebody Else” by The 1975
Gemini Venus
While this energy may feel heavier than you are used to, there is still room for your mind to play.
Make plans with someone you don’t usually hang out with. Buy a new piece of clothing in a color you would normally ignore. Someone is probably dying for a voice note from you, by the way. A new tattoo or piece of jewelry could serve you well.
You do not have to understand the feeling completely before you experience it.
Tips: Read someplace new. Hit send (frfr).
Songs: “Casual” by Chappell Roan; “Untouched” by The Veronicas
Cancer Venus
You deserve a home that feels safe for you, too.
Set boundaries and do not leave the door cracked simply because you are afraid of what closing it means. Being addicted to your caring qualities is not the same thing as loving you in a way that aligns with what you have envisioned for yourself. They have shown you who they are. Believe them. Rediscover the places that soothe your soul.
Tips: Collect seashells or crystals. Do not contact them (frfr).
Songs: “Fuck It I Love You” by Lana Del Rey; “The Worst” by Jhené Aiko
Leo Venus
You are magnetic.
Consider this the reminder you may need over the next few weeks.
Go to events full of people who give you the reverence you deserve. Looking good and spending time in spaces dedicated to elevating your craft can help manage the unfamiliar imposter syndrome that may creep in. But remember: you do not have to perform your way back into feeling desirable.
Kiss someone just because. With consent, of course.
Tips: Take photos of yourself. Buy a new statement piece (frfr).
Songs: “Love Drought” by Beyoncé; “Decode” by Paramore
Virgo Venus
Take a day off from being the project manager of your friend circle.
Instead of making fifteen appearances at events you do not really care about, have a quiet morning and a lazy afternoon. Go to the spa, the farmers market, wine tasting—somewhere you can simply wander. If you invite someone else, do not freak out if they are late. Do not coordinate their transportation. Do not send the itinerary.
Give yourself permission to follow your body somewhere without considering anyone else’s comfort first.
Tips: Abandon your calendar. Phone on DND (frfr).
Songs: “Love on the Brain” by Rihanna; “party 4 u” by Charli xcx
Libra Venus
You are allowed to have preferences.
If you learn anything from this cycle, learn that declaring what you want does not need to be softened with “…if that’s okay.” It is more than okay. Practice being demanding—with the right audience, it can be more fun than expected. Tap into your creativity and make something simply for your own gaze.
Plus, new shoes are always a good idea.
Tips: Write a list of wants. Pick the restaurant (frfr).
Songs: “Drew Barrymore” by SZA; “Would You Mind” by Janet Jackson

As a Gemini Venus this is super helpful! I’ve already hung out with someone I don’t usually hang out with. Now I need to get a new tattoo and go shopping! 🧐
